They offer an art club, clay, a maker’s class, fashion design, mixed media, along with sketching, painting, and drawing.
(5) Varsity Tutors: Well varsity tutors offers all sorts of free classes, they also offer paid classes. Most typically the difference is the number of kids in the group, large groups vs small groups. They offer a very wide, and not-so-common list of classes, from anime, pokemon drawing, and painting to fun with strings and theatre classes.

ART SUBSCRIPTION & TO-GO BOXES
Some of the best at-home art options come with all of the supplies your kiddo needs to create their masterpiece. Whether you are looking for one-time art boxes or ongoing subscription boxes, there are a number of options out there!
(1) 25Cats: We have done more than one of these classes, and done one of their virtual birthday parties. Our kids loved attending 4Cats classes in person (we are HUGE fans of their splatter paint birthday parties) and their 25Cats online classes have been just as much fun. Whether you are interested in watercolors, painting, drawing or oven-baked clay, 25cats is a great option. TIP: Sign up to their newsletter to get freebie lessons right to your inbox!
(2) Crockadoodle: Crockadoodle is ALWAYS a win in our house. We absolutely love all things Crockadoodle, in-store or at home. Our favorite thing about Crockadoodle is that the finished projects are almost always items that become very loved items in our home. There is no going wrong when you are combining painting, creativity and items like mugs and ice cream bowls! Our home is full of items that have been hand-painted and are full of happy memories.
(3) Chalk Couture: Chalk Couture is another fun at-home craft that can bring ongoing personal touches to your home. It is great for seasonal decor, creating gifts, and crafts you want to keep. Chalk Couture allows for one-time purchases, as well as ongoing subscription boxes. It is a direct sales company, so finding a rep you love to work with is helpful to keep you on top of the best deals. We have attended a few of these classes, and participated in at-home crafting, and have so much fun.
(4) Doodle Crate: Like most subscription boxes from KiwiCo, Doodle Crate is awesome! The boxes allow for the opportunity to gain new skills, confidence, and inspire creativity. This box comes with a new project every month. The best part, these are often usable crafts (ie think lanterns and soap making!) that allow your child to use their creativity and to gain a little science knowledge as well.
(5) Maker Crate: Maker Crate is another amazing box by KiwiCo, but geared towards teens. These boxes will help your artist discover new forms of art and new art tools. You’ll find fun projects, from macrame, punch needle projects, to terrazzo clay objects. I have to be honest, a number of the boxes I have seen I would love to do myself!
(6) Sketchbox: Sketchbox is a bit unique compared to many of the other subscription boxes. It doesn’t come with a one-off project but comes full of high-quality art supplies to encourage your kiddos creative genious. It also includes a piece of art work to help inspire them and get those creative juices flowing.
(7) SmartArt Box: The SmartArt Box is a ton of fun. It comes full of diverse and high-quality art supplies and contains a 6 step art project to help guide you in their use. This is a great way to introduce your kid to different mediums and help inspire creativity in new ways. SmartArt Box projects also partners with YouTubers who offer tutorials so your kiddo can easily see how to do their project.
No matter what your child’s art interest, the trend towards virtual options allows you to bring that interest right into your home! Whether you are looking to inspire creativity, build upon interests and skills that are already there, or test out the waters, there really are at-home options for every child!
