If you’re looking for a kid approved recipe for banana bread, look no further! This one was tweaked and adjusted by kids, for kids!
There is nothing new, or awe-inspiring, about banana bread. Actually, it’s probably safe to say it’s a staple in the baking rotation in many homes.
What’s special about this one is that it has been tweaked by kids, for kids. So you can count on it having just the right texture to make their little hands come back for more.
As a part of our learning fun we set about testing banana bread recipes, playing with different ideas, adjusting, adding, changing, until they got it just right.

Their two main tips?
Make it bite sized and use silicone bakeware!
After testing out results in various bakeware, their favourite (highly recommended) is Wilton’s heart-shaped silicone mold, as seen below! Apparently, this mold gives the two-bite banana bread the right ratio of outside vs. inside….(which my kids tell me is extremely important!)
